Before the huge hail storms and 100 mile per hour winds rolled in a few days ago, we had a nice Saturday in which to take a nice bike ride. We loaded up the bikes onto the back of the Honda and drove to Sonoma County to the Dry Creek Valley to have a nice long bike ride, tasting wine along the way. Before we left, I purchased a "trunk" for my bike so we could bring home some of the good stuff we found. It had enough room to carry 2 bottles of wine (maybe more) and a complete picnic lunch.
It was quite a long ride and was much hillier than we anticipated, but the stops at the wineries for "rest and refreshments" were fantastic. But, by the end of the day, we were exhausted and knew we would be feeling some pain in our legs for the next few days.
