The kiddo is in one of his more vocal phases. For no apparent reason, he will suddenly break out into song or rather one long loud "ahhhhhhh" while playing. Since he doesn't understand "inside voices" yet, the only way to get him to stop (which I just have to occasionally for my own sanity) is to "ahhhhhh" even louder right back at him. This is great until you're in the middle of the grocery store.
But even better are the conversations he has with nearly every element in his room around 4 or 5 in the morning. He wakes himself up talking and talks for about 30 minutes, very loudly, before going back to sleep. It goes a little something like this....ahhhhhhh, ummmmmm, mmmmmm, oooooooo, ahahahahaha and if he's really had a good night - a few verses of bppt, bppt (or motorboating). And then he's back to slumber land. Not so much for those of us with a baby monitor at our ear.
