For everything we had planned for this weekend, we were most hesitant about the parade. Between the loud noises and the sitting still we were hoping we'd get 30 minutes out of it. We even planned our parking strategy so we could make a quick getaway.
We packed up as the last entry sailed past after being in our spot 2.5 hours (1.5 hours of this was the parade).
We simply reminded Johnathan this morning at breakfast of how much Calliou loves a parade and marching bands. I love that show. And he really got into the marching bands.
And it didn't hurt that anytime he got a little antsy, someone was throwing out something good - we got a baseball, beach ball, kazoo and multiple flags. But most of the time he sat in his little chair we brought for him.
