Three days off of school for this? Actually - his school got 5 inches. But apparently the bridge to the island was just too steep for the snow to get across. Johnathan was determined to catch a snowflake on his tongue and go sledding.
Sailing, Sailing...
But the weekend before the snow, we had had enough and needed an outing. Not quite as much to do in eastern NC as there is in CA. So we took the ferry to breakfast. The morning started out exciting but once we learned that the only thing the ferry can take you to across the bridge in the winter is all you can eat pancakes for $3.99 the excitement of the adventure wore off. Though they were excellent pancakes.
Movie Night
Sunday night is movie night and we decided it was time for everyone to get in on the action.
On a side note - for those of you who had heard, Ben and I are alive again. We had a nasty cold that took us both down together and had me crying out for my mommy - literally. A few days of rest thanks to the grandparents and we are almost 100 percent. Though Ben still can't talk above a whisper yet.
