Oh what a beautiful weekend! The weather here is finally starting to turn nice again. Heather Higgins was in town and staying with us for a few days for a conference in San Jose, so this weekend we gave her the California coastal experience. So we drove down to the Monterrey peninsula for the second week in a row. We started off with the 17 mile drive and then picked up some lunch at the Pebble Beach club house. Then, with bag lunch in hand, we settled on a nice spot on Carmel Beach, tossed the frisbee around with Mercy, and laid in the sun for a while. Mercy drew even bigger crowds this week then she did last. Finally, to end the day we drove a little ways towards Big Sur. Not enough time on beautiful Highway 1, but we at least got the taste of it again. I believe when the Mini finally comes (in April), our first drive will be down Hwy 1 to Hearst castle.
