But we've had a really well-behaved weekend with the kiddo.
On Friday afternoon, I invited a mom friend over for the boys to play while we chatted. Usually this involves fragmented adult conversation as we repeat over and over the following mantra - don't throw, be nice, be gentle, share, don't stick your finger there. But not Friday.... they played like perfect angels. They shared toys! It was almost a relaxing afternoon.
This morning, we had brunch with an old college friend. However, we've typically restricted time in restaurants to family and other people with kids who understand. Now granted we were completely on his schedule and had his favorite foods (including a few reward goldfish at the end while we were waiting on the check), but he was an angel. Ate his lunch and then played with all the spoons at the table with the goal of putting them into daddy's empty hot chocolate glass. It was almost a relaxing lunch.
