Tomorrow I hit 37 weeks and will officially be full term. Bags are packed. Plans are made and I've stocked the pantry with enough cereal to keep me out of WalMart for at least a month. Let the countdown begin. Johnathan came at 37 and a half weeks so next week could be eventful - just not too eventful I hope. I'm big and round, tire easily and if we go too much longer, I'll need a new pair of shoes to accommodate my ever swelling feet. But overall it hasn't been too bad. One upside - we're now making weekly trips to the library because Johnathan has learned that sitting on the couch and reading is one activity we can thoroughly enjoy together.
Everybody needs their own office.....
Every 3 year old needs their own office right? Complete with computer, phone, notebook and pens. Because every 3 year old has important work to do and calls to make. And if he's on the phone, do not disturb him or talk loudly - because that's the rules. Note: the working from the kitchen was a one time thing - daddy forgot that he had a presentation after dinner and after he had promised a bike ride to the beach. Apparently working together was a good compromise. The kid didn't make a peep for 30 minutes.
Long lost friends...
Last weekend, you would have thought that Santa himself had arrived from the north pole. It was better - Sam arrived! Four months after they had last seen each other, Sam and Johnathan picked up right where they left off (They now live 2.5 hrs away). We threw some food on the table occasionally and changed their clothes as needed but for 2 solid days, they entertained themselves. The best comment of the weekend came from Johnathan - when we put them all to bed - Sam and Johnathan in the same room - we heard over the monitor "Daddy, we have a problem - Sam slipped out of bed and walked out the door". My little tattle tale.
