Ahoy Mates - The Bunny has Landed

We've decided now that Matthew has proven himself to be a trooper on big adventures that its time we embraced where we live and start venturing out more. And what better way than to have an Easter egg hunt on the beach!

After waking up to the Easter bunny baskets, 36 hidden eggs (at the time of publication 4 are still unaccounted for) and a chocolate bunny that Johnathan devoured in 15 minutes at 6:15 am (so thankful the bunny brought the small one) it was time for our big adventure. We took a water taxi to Masonboro Island, landed in shallow water, then hiked over the dunes to the ocean side where 8 kids scattered among the dunes and the sand to capture 8 eggs each. Sounds easy but egg hunting in sand is harder than it looks. Those eggs really blend into the grass.

Johnathan hunted for eggs, had a picnic and then played a little in the water and Matthew took a nap in the backpack - a true trooper.

After all of this Ben and I agreed on one thing - we want a boat!
