Boy's 100 foot dash (down hall):
Gold medal: Johnathan
After a healthy meal, enjoyed by two toddlers (I had to babysit for a friend this afternoon), the kiddie Olympics began in earnest in our hallway. Here's a recap of the play by play:
1. Johnathan takes off down the hall at a fast clip, laughing and screeching at the top of his lungs.
2. Nervous with anticipation Sam waits relay style laughing and clinging to my leg for Johnathan to return.
3. Johnathan, arms flailing, runs back to Sam, grabs his head with both his hands and like a scene from the Godfather, plants a kiss on Sam's forehead.
4. After tagging Sam, Johnathan is off again, running at a fast clip down the hall with lungs blaring. Sam is jumping up and down, screeching, face red.
5. Johnathan comes back and tags Sam again with a kiss on the forehead and goes off again.
This continues for about 15 minutes, after which, both athletes who are now red in the face, sweating and panting, reach for their sippys and drink them down and collapse on the floor to read books.
It was later found that both athletes showed a slight increase in natural fruit sugars from the grapes and pineapples served at dinner, but was later confirmed that there were no performance enhancing sugars given to either athlete prior to the event.
This is one reporter who wished she had had her camera, but getting up to get it would have surely spoiled the fun.

That's hilarious! It should be an official Olympic event!
