They say you need to make sure that your older child still gets as much love and attention as your younger child. So after two months of being very patient with us and taking a backseat to Johnathan, Mercy got a day to herself.
We took Johnathan to his first Disc Dogg competition (which just happened to be in Fremont). This is not a baby group at all. Sure we had several people stop and ask us was it a girl or boy and how old was she. Yep, I wrote that right "she", as in Mercy. No one asked about Johnathan, but they all were curious about Mercy and came over to pet and love on her, which she ate up.
After about 2 hours of this, the younger sibling got a little jealous and threw a fit to go home (ok - actually he had been so into the sights and sounds as he loves being outside, he had missed his nap and was cranky).
As for the results of the competition, due to Mercy (and Ben) being out of practice and a windy second round and our first attempt at the intermediate division, we didn't bring home the trophy.
PS: Mercy doesn't usually cuddle quite so close to the stroller, however, as Johnathan had first dibbs on the limited shade of the umbrella, we were all crowded around him.
