Dinner Conversation
The other night at dinner when we sat down Johnathan asked Ben, "How your day?" Ben responded. Johnathan followed up with "What you do today?" These are usually the first questions out of my mouth.
Kid Gets Later Bedtime/Parents Find it Easier
After a couple of weeks of listening to the kid talk and whine and beg to go potty (just one more time) and mornings that were getting increasingly earlier, we made the big decision to let him stay up later. He's not exactly watching Letterman yet but bathtime now starts at 7:30 with eyes shut by 8. Fewer trips to the potty and 4 out of 5 mornings he'll sleep until 7.
Mercy Gets a New Friend
No, we didn't do something silly and get another dog. We just taught our kid how to throw. Mercy sometimes actually seems to be enjoying Johnathan rather than just tolerating him. He's mastered a tennis ball and is working on Frisbee.
